FAQ

Do I need to buy a ticket?
Nope, no ticket or RSVP is necessary. Just join if you can, and bring friends!

I’m a newbie at art-collecting. Will there be anything there for me?
We’ll have pieces at all price points, and in different media, from photography to paint to ceramics.

How do I make sure I’m looking my best?
Dress in whatever way makes you feel classy and chic – no tuxes or ballgowns required.

Are we bidding on campers’ art?
While we marvel at the artistry of our campers, this event is something else entirely. We’ll be holding a silent auction that features pieces by adult professionals from throughout the West Coast.

How do I bid on art? Do I take it home right away?
You’ll be given a bid number when you arrive, and all the bidding is done on paper, as it’s a silent auction. When the time for bidding is up, the highest bidder wins. When you’re ready to leave, you’ll pay via Venmo for your item and carry it right out. (Sorry, no delivery options!)

How do I keep up my energy for all this bidding?
We will have a bar for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (tips appreciated!), as well as some snacks available.

Can I bring the whole family to the event?
While we greatly enjoy the company of the kiddos at camp, this event is not appropriate for them. It’s a 21-and-over party.

Do I need to bring my checkbook or cash?
Your volunteer bartenders would of course appreciate tips (hint hint), and we can accept checks as payment for art. But we’ll also have easy payment set up through Venmo, so just make sure you have your phone with you.
